Con X Tech Prize: The Amazon

Conservation X Labs (CXL), recently launched The Con X Tech Prize, a global competition that seeks cutting-edge science and tech innovations to transform the Amazon’s destructive, extractive economies into modern, regenerative ones. The competition seeks to address current challenges faced in the region by harnessing the power of innovation and technology. CXL believes that through collaboration and creativity, solutions can be developed to protect and restore the Amazon ecosystem for future generations. The initiative focuses on soliciting proposals in two key categories:

  • Practices to Support Production and Scale: Methods to support the sustainable production of replacement products in the Amazon.

Submissions from individuals and teams worldwide are welcomed, with a special emphasis on innovators from the Amazon region. Entrepreneurs, researchers, and engineers alike are encouraged to submit proposals by April 26, 2024.Up to twenty (20) innovators will receive a USD $3,500K seed grant to jumpstart their solutions and develop their first prototype or proof-of-concept. The solutions showing the most promising results will then have the opportunity to receive prizes to further scale their innovations – including one (1) $20,000 grand prize and two (2) $5,000 prizes.
