In the JOGL weekly it came up to organize an enzyme purification meeting, to discuss protocols and share experiences/ask questions/inspire each other :).

Hi everyone, I found this short paper [http://dx.doi.org/10.5483/bmbrep.2008.41.2.108]
Which basically says e.coli only has like 17 heat-stable proteins, most of which are involved in folding and such, and as we think these enzymes should work pretty good even without any purification i.e. ā€œCellular reagentsā€, seems to me we could get away with only a thermal precipitation? Has anyone tried this or heard about it or knows how to do it?
Or maybe at least add it as a step before the Ni Chromatography?

Hey guys!
Thank you all for joining in! I hope it helped a little.
