What lab items and reagents are people having most trouble sourcing at an affordable price?

Hi All

I wondered what you are finding to be the biggest bottle necks in reagent procurement? I notice that the WHO and others are mobilising on supply chains but that might not reach everybody:

Are there ways we can help each other here?

For molecular biology, definitely cell-free recombinant enzymes (and associated reagents).

I would say, prioritized by usage frequency and DIY difficulty (descending order):

  1. Thermostable DNA polymerases
  2. Restriction enzymes
  3. dNTPs and reaction buffers

Do not forget Ligases and BstEII enzymes!!!

If anyone needs recombinant proteins, inquire at pacificcoastbio.com .

Yep, what is the cutting without the pasting!
