Anyone tried Vesicle Nucleating peptides (VNps)?

Hi All

I saw this nice preprint earlier:

A High-Throughput Multiwell-Plate based Approach for the combined Expression, Export and Assay of Recombinant Proteins.

This is the third time in a week I’ve come across or been recommended Vesicle Nucleating peptide (VNp) technology - very cool, not sure how I missed it to date. Anyone else read up on this or tried it?

I’m trying to persuade someone to cover this in a future Reimagining Biomanufacturing journal club

Jenny

Hi, Jenny,

I used to try this with staygold GFP to see if i can get vesicles, but the bacteria become elongated and no sign of seeing small vesciles, I am not sure whether it is the metabolic burden caused this. but it is not as obvious as it showed in their paper. please let me know if you can reproduce this. still cool tech if worked.

Best,

Jack

Thanks for the info @jackxiaoyuchen - that’s useful to know before we try something ourselves!
