I have a project on github with an alternative that is close or better to commercial ones. Of course yours does not require a 3D printer, laser cutter and glue however the price is not very different.

I also have the design for the power supply.
The wire usually gets corroded after 2-3 uses unless is platinum or platinum plated.
There is an alternative similar to yours that uses aluminum foil for the electrodes.

thank you adrian
indeed your method is more formal than mine
but i have to say that in my place we don’t have much 3d printers
and the few ones we have would cost me more than 100$ to make the tank

as for the wires, the braces wires made of stainless steel and tungsten seem to be the best, they are economic and can endure 20 uses.
