Hi Everyone ![]()
As I mentioned at our most recent Reclone Community Meeting (2026 Reclone Community Meetings Kick-Off: Jan 21st at 16:00 UTC 🎉) that I’ll be stepping down as Reclone Community Manager, and instead our talented @cibele will be the Community Manager and go-to person for all things Reclone from now on!
Cibele has already been doing a fantastic job for a number of years now too, so you already know that you’ll be in more than capable hands with her at the helm! She’ll be looking to update the community about new changes to the Reclone strategy and the plan ahead that we’ve been working on, so watch this space!
We’ve also had amazing support from Davida (@Da5ida) over the last half year or so, who has been volunteering with updating our Community Meetings on our YouTube Channel and summaries on the Forum. Many thanks for bringing us back on track, and for your ongoing support!
There’s also a lot of work going on behind the scenes with the folks in the LatAm Hub, and the wider Global Team (https://reclone.org/who/), and we’ve had a number of changes over the years, so we’re definitely more than due an update on the The Reclone Coordination Team and Reclone Champions post, and you’ll hear about the work at the Hub in due course as well.
Whilst I’m here, a quick call-out: in case you are interested in supporting Cibele and the rest of the team as we move ahead in 2026, do let her know via this thread or email coordination@reclone.org
Finally, a last few words from me: you guys have been an amazing community and I’ve really enjoyed supporting you all over the last three and a bit years. It’s been wonderful getting to know a little more about everyone who has connected with us over the years, learning about the different ways we do research across the world, and how we can collectively build resources to support one another. So thank you all for always being brilliant and contributing to Reclone! I look forward to keeping in touch, perhaps volunteer here and there if time permits, and just seeing how the community grows over time.
So thank you again, and here’s to the next step forward in creating a bright future and a global collaboration for equitable access to biotechnology, for everyone, everywhere. ![]()
