Hi everyone,
I developed a simple hardware device for LAMP and RPA assays. Some of you might have seen that in my presentation during the latest symposium.
The main features of the device are:
- Portable
- Low-cost ($5-$10)
- Easy to fabricate
- Easy to Operate
- Powered from phones/USB
- Built with Off-the-shelf parts
and most importantly it doesn’t require
- custom PCB
- Milling
- Soldering
- Programming
*Grid-power
I sent a unit to Jenny’s lab in Cambridge and Smitha is going to test the device with synthetic SARS-COV2 virus. I am really looking forward to see the device performance.
I would like to scale up testing of the device with various LAMP and RPA assays. Please let me know if you are interested in the device. So far, this project is self-funded, so please let me know any funding opportunities that can help me to scale up this.!
